Death of an inmate at Bowden Institution

On June 26, 2017, Thomas Molloy, an inmate at Bowden Institution died at a local hospital in Red Deer.

At the time of his death, Mr. Molloy, 56 years old, had been serving a sentence of 2 years, since February 10, 2016 for Sexual Assault.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
