Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan Walk First Red Carpet as an Engaged Couple at Radio Disney Music Awards

Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan are taking their new relationship status to the red carpet!
The Disney Channel stars stepped out this weekend to attend the Radio Disney Music Awards in Los Angeles. But as we quickly discovered, this wasn’t just another awards show. Instead, it marked the couple’s first red carpet as an engaged duo.
Before enjoying the show inside the Microsoft Theater, the Hollywood stars posed for photos before mingling with fans and other stars.
Dove opted for a white skirt and pink blouse while Ryan chose aqua blue dress pants, Converse sneakers and a cardigan over his button-down.
After the pair witnessed the finished product of their photos, Dove admitted that her facial expression weren’t exactly revealing her true emotions inside.

“Why do I either look so angry in every photo or like a scared small animal,” she joked on Twitter. The 20-year-old also assured fans, “I am SO HAPPY I COULD BREAK TO PIECES.”
It certainly was the case more than two weeks ago when Ryan dedicated his 1,000 Instagram picture to his girlfriend. As the 22-year-old posted that all-important photo, fans received some news that was quite the pleasant surprise.
“Dedicating my 1,000th post to my fiancée,” he wrote. “I can’t believe I get to call you that. Thanks for saying yes.” Dove later posted, “Calling you my ‘boyfriend’ never really felt right anyway. Fiancée looks better on you.”
The two first met as co-stars on the hit sitcom Liv and Maddie and took their romance public in August 2013. Known to fans as The Girl and the Dreamcatcher, the duo would later hit the road in 2015 as a musical duo.
Fast-forward to today and the pair is simply enjoying the newest part of their relationship. Here’s to many more red carpets together!
