Grab the Speedo and some sunscreen — a 1,000-foot slip-and-slide is coming back to Edmonton this summer.
Slide the City will return July 23, but this year will descend into the river valley at Victoria Park Road.
Last year, more than 7,000 people bought tickets to slide down a 305-metre course at Grierson Hill.
The move to Victoria Park Road promises a faster course, organizers said in a news release.
Like last year, EPCOR will treat the water used for the slide so it can be safely returned to the river afterwards.
The Utah-based waterslide event travels around North America. This will be the event’s second year in Edmonton.
Tickets go on sale on May 4. If the event sells out again, a second date might be added on July 24.
