Man killed in single-vehicle collision on Sunday

A 36-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle collision Sunday morning.

The incident happened in the area of 13 Avenue and Parsons Road at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say the man was travelling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle. The truck rolled it into a ditch and the man was thrown from the truck.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision. 

This is Edmonton’s 9th traffic fatality of the year.
