A Calgary woman is dead after falling while hiking on Mount Temple in Banff National Park on Friday afternoon.
Lake Louise RCMP and Parks Canada said the woman was with another person when she died suddenly.
The two were scrambling up the common route of the mountain when the woman fell during their descent, said RCMP in a release.
“The conditions had deteriorated during their descent, which included heavy snowfall and high winds, which likely played a factor in the fall,” said police.
The woman’s name is not being released.
