In what was her first speaking engagement to the oil and gas industry, Alberta’s new energy minister delivered a short scripted speech.
Marg McCuaig-Boyd delivered the opening address Wednesday at the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary, a conference and trade show with about 50,000 attendees from around the world.

McCuaig-Boyd admitted there is uncertainty in the province because of low oil prices and the change in provincial politics.
She reassured oil and gas industry members that Alberta remains a worthwhile place to invest.
