A dialysis patient affected by the contaminated water supply issue at the Royal Alex hospital has died.
It is not yet known if the patient’s death is connected to the water contamination issue.
At the time they said four patients were recovering.
AHS said the accident was due to a valve that was turned during cleaning, which allowed the chemical to enter the water supply used for dialysis.
The water supply was immediately turned off, according to AHS.
