A second Edmonton police constable has pleaded guilty to disciplinary charges following an investigation into steroid trafficking among officers.
Const. Kevin Yaremchuk pleaded guilty to discreditable conduct and deceit at a hearing on Wednesday.
Yaremchuk admitted he purchased the anabolic steroid stanozolol from Sgt. Greg Lewis in 2012 and that he lied during the investigation.
Sentencing submissions will be made on May 8.
Last week, Adam Toma, received a two-year demotion from sergeant to constable after pleading guilty to discreditable conduct and deceit in a similar case.
Toma told the hearing he purchased anabolic steroids from Lewis in 2012 and 2013.
On March 6, Edmonton Police announced Lewis and Const. Darren French were charged with illegally selling steroids to other officers.
Lewis faces three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
