A lone gunman fired several rounds Tuesday evening near a Haliburton oilfield services building just north of Grande Prairie, police said.
Several people were in the area at the time the shots were fired, but at this time there are no report of injuries.
Grande Prairie RCMP were called just before 8 p.m. and have sent all available resources to the scene of the shooting. Police have secured the area around the site.
Roadblocks have been set up in the area around 70th Avenue and 102nd Street, and police have warned the public to avoid the area.
