Former Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith says she is writing a book about her six years in politics.
Smith, who lost the PC nomination in Highwood last month, made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday morning.
@BrockWHarrison @FacesofEdmonton Thanks for breakfast and brainstorming about writing a book on my 6 years in politics. I’m going to do it.

Current Wildrose Leader Brian Jean was asked about Smith’s decision at a news conference in Edmonton.
“Well Danielle Smith is part of the history of Alberta and if she wants to write a history book, that’s fine,” he said.
“The Wildrose is going to concentrate on the future because that’s what’s important to Albertans, positive ideas. And a good future for Alberta is what Albertans want and that’s what the Wildrose will deliver.”
Smith left the Wildrose in December when she and eight other MLAs crossed to the Tories.
