The RCMP are appealing to the public for video shot anywhere in Sherwood Park between the night of April 14 and the morning of April 15 in an effort to help solve the homicide of Paula Stiles.
The 44-year-old mother of three was found dead in her Foxhaven Court, Sherwood Park home on April 15.
Insp. Gibson Glavin said they are “absolutely” making progress on the investigation, but that they still need the public’s help.
“It’s a new type of world out there where there’s a lot of cameras going all over the place. Since we know that type of thing is going on, it would be prudent of us to seek it out,” Glavin said.
Police say they would like to speak to two teenagers on skateboards in the area of the Foxhaven subdivision between the hours of 11 p.m on April 14 and 6:30 the next morning. They’d like anyone on Stiles’s street who noticed anything unusual during that time period to contact them as well.
RCMP said they have completed a search of an acreage east of Sherwood Park owned by the victim’s estranged husband.
Search warrant documents filed by the Mounties have been sealed by the courts.
