If you’ve ever wanted to roll up to a 7-Eleven, back up to the Slurpee machine, pop your trunk and shout “fill ‘er up!”, now is your chance!
Sort of.
On April 11 (that’s this Saturday!), Slurpee is having a “Bring Your Own Cup” day at 7-Eleven, or #BYOC, if you will. The promotion basically means you can bring in any cup and you can fill it up with delicious Slurpee goodness for only $1.49, which is the price of an average 22-ounce Slurpee. But who the hell wants 22 ounces when you could possibly get 100 ounces of Slurpee sugar?! Just be sure to call an ambulance as your foot will most definitely fall off.

Laura Gordon, vice president of marketing and brand innovation at 7-Eleven, is calling BYOC Day a “summer kickoff,” even though we’re pretty sure some parts of the country are still experiencing winter and have yet to hit spring.
But before you start lining up your friends and arming yourself with industrial size garbage bags, Slurpee has a few rules:
•”Your cup must fit through a 10 inch hole.”
•”You cup must be food safe.”
•”Your cup must be watertight”
•”One cup per person on #BYOCUPDAY”

So kind of like the rule of cat (“if they fit, they sit”), there will be a “hole guideline” at 7-Eleven so you know if your cup is allowed. Basically it’s the same situation as the overhead compartment stand that airlines have at the gates so you can see if your luggage will fit as a carry-on before getting on the plane, but most of the time people end up ignoring that and they just try to shove a giant, bulging bag up there instead of just checking it and they hold up the line for 15 freakin’ minutes.
Ugh, we hate flying.
Anyway, starting at 11 a.m. and going all the way until 7 p.m. you can bring a giant cup, vase, fishbowl, milk carton or whatnot and get your Slurpee fix. America is not a nation that’s known for moderation, so celebrate this great country by bringing in a paint bucket and filling it to the brim!
