Several train cars carrying grain have derailed and are lying on their sides just northeast of Calgary.
The incident happened near the hamlet of Kathryn, at Highway 9 and Range Road 271.
About 20 cars derailed into a field, Rocky View County officials say.
There were no injuries and no evacuations were ordered.
Highway traffic was also unaffected, officials say.
