All right, guys, we all know that the Super Bowl is primarily based around football. Yes, primarily.

It’s the biggest game of the season when the top two NFL teams face-off for the ultimate trophy and bragging rights, blah blah blah…But we also know that a lot of people—many of whom don’t even know anything about football—tune into the Super Bowl each year for the other stuff. The entertaining, trending, non-football stuff that tends to happen.

And who wants to be left out of post-Super Bowl conversations? Nobody.

So, for those of you who completely abstained from one of most buzzworthy events of the year, we’ve compiled a little cheat-sheet of the seven biggest non-football moments from yesterday’s game. And for those who did watch, you can just reminisce.

You’re all welcome.

1. The Left Shark: Katy Perry‘s halftime show offered us a few memorable moments, but there was definitely one breakout star who stole America’s heart—the left shark. His sassy dance moves instantly inspired memes, GIFs and even a Twitter handle. (But don’t worry, right shark, you’re the real MVP!)

2. The Awkward Kiss: After the New England Patriots won the game, coach Bill Bellchick celebrated in a very interesting way. He planted a huge smooch…on his daughter. Yep, that’s his daughter. And the Twitterverse didn’t know how to feel about that.

Take a guess. Is this Bill Belichick’s wife or daughter? (HINT: It’s his daughter, and he’s a creep) pic.twitter.com/JIzengNCGO

3. Missy Makes You Lose Control: Seeing Missy Elliott take the stage again…sigh, there are no words—but we’ll try anyway. It’s like the world didn’t realize how much we missed the hip-hop hitmaker until we got the nostalgic surprise performance during the halftime show. Fans were quick to get on their feet and get their freak on, while the younger generation questioned who this “brand new artist” is. SMH.

4. Skip the Beer, Grab the Kleenex: What was up with those Super Bowl ads?! The commercials are a big part of the fun when it comes to game day, however, viewers weren’t given what they may have expected yesterday. We wanted to laugh! We wanted to have fun! Instead, a lot of ads were extremely depressing and totally changed the mood of the day. Dead children?! Why?!

5. OMG IT’S BRITNEY: There was a surprise appearance by Britney Spears during the commercials (and at the actual game!), when she starred in one of the #SuperBowlRally ads. The pop princess was in her dressing room getting ready for the big game, while prepping her vocals for all the cheering she was going to do. She looked perfect. She sounded perfect. It was perfect.

6. Football Fight: OK, so this kinda has to do with football, but it must be mentioned. The game between the Patriots and Seahawks was incredibly close, so tension just got thicker and thicker as the game continued. At one point, it apparently became to much to bare, and the players got into a brawl right there on the field by the endzone. Do we promote violence? Absolutley not. Were we hyped and glued to the TV when the fight happened? Totally.

7. The Great Debate: Many KP fans anticipated (and hoped) she would include “I Kissed a Girl” as part of her show, and she did, but it ended up sparking a debate.

Some were overjoyed that she decided to include the hit track, because they felt it was a nod to the LGBT community, especially since it was performed during such a large event that tends to have a largely heterosexual audience and held in a state where a person can legally be fired from their job because of their sexual orientation.

However, others speculated whether Lenny Kravitz was included during that specific song for that reason, questioning if it was done to avoid FCC complaints and noting that grinding on the sexy star took away from the message of the song.
