Two people are dead and two in hospital after a head-on collision between a taxi van and a pick-up truck in Leduc.
RCMP say the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sparrow Drive.
Two men in the taxi, both 37, were declared dead on scene by first responders.
A third passenger who was thrown from the van was taken to hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The 38-year-old taxi driver is in hospital with critical injuries.
The truck driver was not hurt, and his 25-year-old passenger received only minor injuries.
Police say all three taxi passengers are from out of province, and authorities are now notifying next of kin.
RCMP say Sparrow Drive between 65th Avenue and Sparrow Crescent will likely be closed for most of the morning while they investigate the cause of the crash.
