St. Louis Blues goaltender Martin Brodeur will announce his retirement this week.
The team says the 42-year-old Montreal native will remain with the organization in a management role.
The official announcement will be made at a news conference Thursday morning at the Scottrade Center.
Brodeur made his NHL debut with New Jersey in 1991-92 and remained with the Devils until joining the Blues this season.
The four-time Vezina Trophy winner holds several league goaltending records, including most victories (691) and shutouts (125).
He won three Stanley Cups with the Devils and two Olympic gold medals with Team Canada.
