Pedestrian badly hurt in snow removal accident

A woman was taken to hospital Wednesday with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by snow removal machinery in north Edmonton.

The 39-year-old woman was walking west along the sidewalk on 134th Avenue near 113A Street just after 5 p.m.

As she tried crossing 113A Street in the marked crosswalk, the vehicle, equipped with a snow blower, made a right turn off the avenue onto the street and struck her.
