Edmonton police have declared the death of a man in a west-end home over the weekend as the city’s 23rd homicide of the year.
Police found Philip Mooney, 58, near a home on 188 Street and 122 Avenue late Saturday night. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
The city’s medical examiner is awaiting a toxicology test before releasing cause of death, but the case has been declared a homicide.
Police are investigating. They say no charges have been laid and they are not searching for additional suspects.
