Robert Pattinson, are you trying to bring back the mushroom cut? Because, really mate, there’s no need.
On Thursday, the 28-year-old stepped out to the GO Campaign’s 7th Annual Go Go Gala in Beverly Hills sporting a look that gave us a quick flashback to the most popular elementary school haircut in 1998. Rob’s cut features a bowl-shaped top that is shaved beneath, with one thick strip of hair left in the back center of his head.
The star looked dapper—from the front at least—sporting a chocolate brown suit and pale blue button-down. Handsome as always, it must have been a surprise to event-goers when he turned his head to reveal the surprise shave.

Now we’re left wondering if this is for a film role or if it could be the influence of rocker ladylove FKA Twigs. Rob wouldn’t be the first person whose style is influence by that of a significant other (#neverforget a glammed up Ben Affleck in the Bennifer days.) The couple was most recently seen together in Brooklyn this week, cuddling up during her concert after-party—which was also the moment when we first got a glimpse of this new hairstyle, though Pattinson hid it under cap.
