One man is dead after a shooting at the Papyrus Lounge at the corner of 107th avenue and 112 street last night.
Edmonton homicide detectives are on the scene and have removed the body from the lounge. Police tape surrounds the area, including the entrance to the Papyrus Lounge.
Police are not saying where the man’s body was found or how he died. Officers are in the area this morning talking to people and witnesses.
Edmonton police investigated a shooting death at the Papyrus Lounge three years ago. In the early morning hours of New Year’s Day, 2011, they found a dead man in the lobby of the lounge, a second man, who had also been shot, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
