Coliseum Transit Centre stabbing sends man to hospital

A large blood stain marked the pavement at the Coliseum transit centre where a serious assault put a man in hospital Friday morning.

Police say two men got off a bus at the terminal just around 6:10 a.m.

The pair got into an argument and led to one man stabbing the other before taking off on foot, heading east from the station.

The victim was taken to hospital and is in critical condition.

Police have blocked-off the area where the stabbing occurred, preventing buses from using the terminal.

Commuters are told to instead catch buses on 118th Ave.

Police have also blocked off one of the entrances into the LRT system at the station and are directing people to use the 118 Ave entrance.
