Revelations that hundreds of residents of a group home in Mexico may have been sexually abused and held against their will have spawned disgust. But some of the country’s most respected intellectuals and the very kids who say they were mistreated are also defending Rosa del Carmen Verduzco, who runs the home and is seen as a secular saint.
