Hilary Duff is updating fans on the latest regarding the Lizzie McGuire reboot.  

Like many things in 2020, the reboot was one of the things that lost its spark this year. As fans may recall, Lizzie McGuire lost its original creator as Disney+ put a “new lens” on the series. E! News confirmed in January that Terri Minsky, the original creator and showrunner of the Disney show, had exited the reboot but the series was still in production at the streaming service. 

However, comments made by Duff alluded that there was something more going on what the network led on. In February, Duff asked Disney+ in a statement posted to her Instagram to relinquish the series’ streaming right to Hulu over concerns that the subscription platform is too family-friendly for themes included in the reboot. 

“Was incredibly excited to launch Lizzie on D+ and my passion remains! However, I feel a huge responsibility to honor the fans’ relationship with LIZZIE who, like me, grew up seeing themselves in her,” she wrote at the time. “I’d be doing a disservice to everyone by limiting the realities of a 30-year-old’s journey to live under the ceiling of a PG rating.”

Now, Duff is giving us an update on what’s going on with the reboot’s production and on whether she thinks Lizzie McGuire would be into a certain character making a comeback. 

Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Duff also opened up about how Lizzie would feel if Paolo or Miranda were to hypothetically make a comeback in the Lizzie McGuire reboot. 

“I’m still talking to [the team] weekly, I don’t know. They were shooting and then everything was put on hold. And we’re just kind of figuring out if we can make this happen,” Duff shared. 

As fans may recall, Paolo betrayed Lizzie when he tried to set her up for failure in Europe when they both took the stage to sing together as the pop star duet, Paolo and Isabella. 

“But there were plans for a lot of people to be in the show,” she added. “So, um, I  already know some of those things but I don’t know about Paolo. I think she’d probably be pretty mad to see him.”

Nonetheless, fans are probably more worried about whether they’ll be able to see Lizzie McGuire return to the small screen to begin with. 

Earlier this year, Minsky also shared the same sentiment as Duff regarding the reboot.

In an interview with Variety, Minsky said, “I am so proud of the two episodes we did. Hilary has a grasp of Lizzie McGuire at 30 that needs to be seen. It’s a wonderful thing to watch. I would love the show to exist, but ideally I would love it if it could be given that treatment of going to Hulu and doing the show that we were doing. That’s the part where I am completely in the dark. It’s important to me that this show was important to people. I felt like I wanted to do a show that was worthy of that kind of devotion.”

A Disney+ spokesperson told Variety in response, “We paused production on Lizzie McGuire a few weeks ago to allow time for some creative re-development. Our goal is to resume production and to tell an authentic story that connects to the millions who are emotionally invested in the character, and a new generation of viewers too.”

This is the best song ever. 

On Sunday afternoon, Liam Payne went on Instagram Live with Swedish DJ Alesso to talk about new music (the two recently released their collaborative single “Midnight”) but of course, fans could not resist asking a question or two… or a lot about One Direction. 

As the band’s 10th anniversary is only months away, fans have recently been speculating that Liam, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have something special in store. And if you’re wondering, fans have also speculated that Zayn Malik could also be joining in on the celebrations. 

Last weekend, One Directioners noticed that Liam, Harry, Louis and Niall and the official One Direction account each began following Zayn on Twitter again after his 2015 exit from the band. Plus, others pointed out that Zayn was no longer listed as an “ex-member” of the band on Google and is now back to being listed as “vocals.” 

So fast forward to today, it looks like Liam has confirmed that there is in fact something in the works involving some of the One Direction members. 

“Oh my god dude… there’s so many One Direction questions,” Alesso told Liam during their Instagram Live. “But I feel like I don’t want to put you on the spot because I know you can’t say too much.”

Liam then shared that he has been speaking to Niall recently on FaceTime and since “most of us are in London, we’ve been trying to arrange the first group FaceTime with the boys at the moment.” 

He added, “I can’t say too much. Louis told me off for revealing a bit of our plans the other day, so you’re going to have the group chat telling me off.” 

“Oooh, wow, the whole world is about explode,” Alesso replied. 

“You can come in and fill in for Zayn and join the band,” Liam then replied. 

Further, fans also noticed that all five of the band’s albums are now available on Apple Music and to top it off, the official 1D website has also been reactived for the first time since the band began its hiatus in 2016. 

Liam first sparked reunion rumors when he told The Sun that he had been connecting with his former bandmates to discuss One Direction’s milestone anniversary. “We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” he shared. “You hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”

He added, “There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around.”

Earlier this month, Harry caught up with SiriusXM and made fans swoon when he was asked whether he’d be open to reunite with his former bandmates over a Zoom call for a social-distancing inspired performance. He answered, “I don’t know if that’s the reunion we had in mind. I don’t know if that would be the way to do it. I’ll have a quick whip-round.”

Prince Harry is calling for “selflessness, rather than selfishness.” 

During an interview with military podcast Declassified, Harry spoke of his time serving in the army and about time spent volunteering and working with charity Team Rubicon UK after the devastating 2015 earthquake in Napal to help rebuild the communities that were hit the hardest. 

Now, as the world continues to fight against the coronavirus pandemic, Harry is recalling the biggest lessons he’s learned from being a part of the army community. During the podcast, Harry encouraged listeners to not only support the work the charity is doing but also take it upon ourselves to be more selfless during these times. 

“It’s about selflessness, rather than selfishness and I think in today’s culture, in today’s world, we need more role models that are willing to put others ahead of themselves,” Harry told host Michael Coates, after speaking fondly of the fact that members of the military community can be some of the best role models out there for young children. “I think that being part of a unit, being part of a team, and for me, wearing a uniform that was the same as everybody else’s, it kind of makes you feel totally equal, but at the same time makes you want to do everything you can for the person on your left and your right.” 

Further, Harry continued to speak proudly of the work Team Rubicon UK is doing during the coronavirus crisis. Their most recent initiative has helped deploy nearly 200 veterans across Britain to supply food and personal protective gear to the communities who need it most and has also distributed close to one million personal protective equipment to frontline medical staff. 

“I’m honored to be a veteran, and honored to be part of this community,” he said. “It’s also proving that I think things are better than we’re led to believe through certain corners of the media. It can be very worrying when you’re sitting there and the only information you are getting is from certain news channels, but then if you are on the right platforms, you can really  sense this human spirit coming to the forefront.” 

He later added, “We’re now questioned to help others, to give back and to play a part in society, in your community and to be a good neighbor… makes you a better person, makes you feel better, it’s good for your well being, it’s good for your mental fitness—that’s just fact.” 

Most recently, Harry and Meghan Markle gave back to their community in Los Angeles during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Weeks after moving to L.A. with their son Archie Harrison, the couple helped distribute meals for Project Angel Food. 

“Meghan and Harry were looking to be of service on Easter and Meghan was talking to her mother who told her Project Angel Food needs help. She said, ‘Yes, I would love to do it,'” Project Angel Food’s executive director Richard Ayoub told E! News. “They contacted us and came in and we gave them a tour of the kitchen. They were very engaged with everyone they met and asked questions. They were completely down to earth and interested in helping our more vulnerable clients, people who have compromised immune systems who are the most prone to getting the coronavirus.”

Oh baby, baby!

Model Iskra Lawrence has a lot to celebrate. The 29-year-old star shared the exciting and special news that she and her boyfriend, Philip Payne, welcomed their first child together.

At this time, the couple plans to keep personal details about their little one to themselves. However, the British model opened up about being a first-time parent and a new “family of three.”

“I have no idea how to even think right now let alone “do an announcement post” but I feel so close to so many of you,” she began her lengthy Instagram post. “You’ve been my online fam for so many years and I’m beyond overwhelmed to tell you baby P has arrived.”

She added, “Me and daddy @philipapayne are taking time to be in awe that we are now a family of three and when I’m ready I cannot wait to share more details with you all on my home birth and this tiny human that we love beyond measure.”

Unlike most celebrities and influencers, the proud momma explained that she feels more “protective” of what she posts online now that she has someone else’s well-being to think about.

“It’s going to be a huge decision to figure out how much to share online with millions of people,” she shared. “As you know most of you have shown nothing but kindness but we also have received death threats and hate.”

The British star hopes to find a balance between uploading content about her little nugget, while still keeping some privacy.

“I’m feeling super protective and never want my baby to feel like we over exposed them and they never got the choice whether they wanted intimate details or photos shared,” she added. “So it’s new territory because I’m very open with you all about many aspects of my life and health etc…”

Despite that decision, however, Iskra expressed her gratitude towards her followers for all of their “love and support” throughout her pregnancy journey.

“Thanks for reading all of this, we are all safe and well and just in heaven,” she said. “So thank you again sending you all so so much love.”

At this time, Philip hasn’t shared the news about his baby. However, in November, he shared his excitement over being a father.

“How did I get this blessed, what on earth did I do to deserve this much happiness and favor? I’m entirely in awe at his grace,” he captioned his post. “So much has changed so fast in such a short amount of time and I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s all been taking me for a spin lol so many emotions, excited, scared AF, vulnerable, questions, Do I have what it takes? Am I ready? How do i become the best dad?”

He added, “I’m going be the best parent I can possibly be because I have the best partner I could possibly have. You’re going to be an incredible mother @iskra and I’m going to give you and this little soul everything I have. WE ARE GOING TO KILL IIIIT!!!!”

It looks like they already are! Congrats to the couple on the new addition to their family.

Today marks the second anniversary of Aaron Hernandez‘s death.

As some may recall, the convicted murder and former New England Patriots football player committed suicide in a Massachusetts prison back in 2017.

Shayanna Jenkins—who was Aaron’s fiancée at the time and gave birth to their child: Avielle Janelle Hernandez—shared a special tribute to him on Sunday.

“The love between father and daughter knows no distance,” she captioned her Instagram post, alongside a black-and-white photo of the NFL star holding his baby girl.

“We think of you today,” she added, with her comment section turned off. “May you Rest In Peace and continue to watch over us!”

In early January, Netflix released the shocking and twisted story of Hernandez and what led to his demise in 2017. Following the hit docu-series’ release, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, Jenkins has spoken out about how she and the NFL pro were portrayed.

On January 16, a day after the Netflix series released, she shared a message with her followers.

“I wanted to let all of you sweet sweet souls know I have tried to read every message sent on IG and through email (positive and negative),” she expressed at the time. “The amount of support and positive energy is again unreal! I’m sure you will all understand how imperative it is to take some time away from social media.”

She also shared a quote the day before, which many assumed was in reference to the docu-series dropping on the streaming service.

“Never forget how far you’ve come,” the quote read. “Everything you have gotten through. All the times you have pushed on even when you felt you couldn’t. All the mornings you got out of bed no matter how hard it was. All the times you wanted to give up but you got through another day.”

The quote continued, “Never forget how much strength you have developed along the way.”

Additionally, she would later address rumors surrounding Aaron’s sexuality—which the series explored.

“You can’t describe someone’s sexuality without them being here,” Shayanna said on Good Morning America. “Although I’ve had a child with Aaron, I still can’t tell you how he was feeling inside. No one can.”

When asked if her former fiancé was bisexual or gay, she replied: “If he did feel that way or if he felt the urge, I wish that I was told.”

“I wish that he would have told me because I would not have loved him any differently. I would have understood,” she continued. “It’s not shameful, and I don’t think anybody should feel shameful on who they are inside, regardless of who they love. I think it’s a beautiful thing. I wish I was able to tell him that.”

Back in 2015, Aaron was convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Odin Lloyd.

He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Additionally, in 2017, he was found not guilty for murder of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu. A few days after the ruling, he was found dead in his cell by suicide.

After his death, it was revealed that he suffered from CTE.

Boundaries have been set in place!

Eva Mendes draws a line when it comes to sharing things about her family.

As many fans know, she’s been in a long-term relationship with Ryan Gosling. The longtime couple have not only been together for a little under a decade, but they share two daughters: Esmeralda (5) and Amada (3).

On Saturday, the Lost River alum got real about why she keeps her personal life… well, personal.

“During these times, I’m so confused about what to post so I’m going to post things that move me in hopes that they move you as well. Since I don’t post my about immediate family, and it feels so wrong to post about work, here you go…,” she shared on Instagram, alongside a photo of a painting.

Adding, “One of my favorite pieces of art from one of my favorite artist René Magritte. I’ve always loved this one and it feels especially relevant right now. sending lots of love out there.”

After reading her caption, one fan asked why she doesn’t post about her immediate family.

“hi! I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids,” Eva responded. “I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life. And since my children are still so little and don’t understand what posting their image really means, I don’t have their consent. And I won’t post their image until they’re old enough to give me consent.”

Moreover, she explained why she also keeps things “private” between her and the Blade Runner 2049 actor.

“As far as Ryan and I, it just works for us this way, To stay private,” she wrote. “Sending loads of love to you at this time.”

The Hitch actress also reassured her fans that she doesn’t “mind explaining” herself on social media.

“I don’t mind explaining myself sometimes. I care about people and their questions,” she replied to another follower’s comment. “So I’m happy to answer honestly. But thanks for saying thanks! Sending you lots of love out there.”

That wasn’t the only honest bit Eva shared under her comment section.

One of her fans praised her for sharing meaningful posts, especially given the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Thank you for thoughtful posts. I cringe when I still see narcissistic posts and humble brags at this time,” one fan wrote, to which the actress responded, “me too. sending love.”
