Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt‘s run as one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples continues.
On Wednesday a rep for the couple shot down a report that they had split up after 16 years together.
“The story that appeared in this week’s edition of In Touch magazine is not true,” the rep said in a statement obtained by E! News. “The only gentleman Jennifer visited regularly in Connecticut was Jon, while he was in rehab. They continue to ask for the public’s understanding and sensitivity during this challenging time.”
Hamm recently spent a month in rehab in at the Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Conn., to undergo treatment for alcohol abuse. In Touch also reported that Westfeldt pulled the plug on their relationship before he checked in, but they remained friendly.

The rehab news itself didn’t get out until after he had already started making promotional appearances in advance of the premiere of the second half of Mad Men’s final season last Sunday.
A source told us last month, meanwhile, that Hamm was “doing well” and appeared to “be much happier” than he had been in several years.
Talking to GQ for its April cover story on her longtime boyfriend, Westfeldt said that the “darkness” of Don Draper—the boozing, womanizing and emotionally scarred advertising wiz Hamm played on Mad Men—ultimately “weighed heavily” on the actor.
“The end was of course bittersweet and complicated for Jonny,” she recalled. “But I know that when he wrapped the show in L.A., in the wee hours of July 3 last year, and then immediately got on a plane to New York to meet me and our dog, Cora, for dinner with a few close friends and to watch the fireworks, he felt a predominant sense of relief. He remarked on the cosmic coincidence of the date: Independence Day. Finally.”
