Kristen Bell Had a Traumatic Uber Pool Experience, But She’s Not the Only One

Kristen Bell, Uber

Kristen Bell tried to take an Uber yesterday, and it did not go as planned.

The main problem? Well, she signed up for Uber Pool, the app’s ride-sharing service, without realizing it. So imagine her surprise when into the car jumps another passenger! But being Kristen Bell, instead of panicking of calling for help, she decided to go with the flow—and tweet about the whole thing, naturally.

The actress shared every hilarious minute of the ride with her followers, from the awkward silences to her fears that her fellow rider was actually going to invite himself over to her house. Check it out:

Didn’t know @uber had a carpool option, but my driver just pulled over and said “gotta pick someone else up”. this should be fun.

not sure where the other rider is headed but were getting close to my house. then it occurs to me “WHAT IF HES COMING OVER?” #ubercarpool

But Kristen Bell isn’t the first person to attempt (or accidentally endure) a joint ride with Uber Pool. Brave citizens have been valiantly ignoring awkward silences since the dawn of time—or, rather, the dawn of Uber Pool. And even better, they’ve been tweeting about it. Thanks to these pioneering (or penny-pinching) riders, we have hilarious tales of late night run-ins, weird conversations and drunk food. Oh, and a whole lot of reasons not to try Pool.

We were going in different directions, it cost me $61, it didn’t end with us dating. I think I did it wrong #uberpool

Shared an #UberPool to SFO w/ a surgeon who transplants people’s big toes for their thumbs. FYI, should you ever encounter a table saw.

#uberpool is a great way to see complete strangers ride in cars like complete strangers

@Uber_SF taking a more liberal definition on what is “along your route” on #uberpool. Knew this would happen eventually.

Never thought I’d say this but tonight #Uberpool was a mistake.
