Lac La Biche Accident Caused by Single Vehicle Collision
A recent Lac La Biche accident was caused by a single vehicle collision, and one teen died while two others were injured but in stable condition after the accident. The Lac La Biche RCMP received a report of an accident and responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The accident was a vehicle rollover and there were 3 male passengers in the vehicle. Two of the passengers were 18 years old and one of the passengers was 19 years old. The vehicle looked like it left the highway and then rolled over on Mission Road. The cause of the crash has not been determined yet and the investigators are still examining all of the factors to try and determine exactly what happened.
The single vehicle collision caused injuries to all three male passengers. After the La Lac Biche accident the 19 year old in the vehicle was immediately transported by air ambulance to a hospital in the Edmonton area. When the 19 year old arrived at the hospital he was in critical condition, and he passed away as a result of his injuries the same day. Both 18 year old passengers were also transported to the hospital for medical care and were listed in stable condition. Two of the occupants in the vehicle were ejected during the rollover. The RCMP does believe that alcohol played a role in the accident. A collision analyst is assisting the RCMP with the investigation. Anyone who has any information about the accident should contact the Lac La Biche RCMP and provide details about what they know.
