The fatal crash which claimed the life of teenage mom Rachelle Goudy is suspected to be the result of a possible error in judgment according to the police, making the case even more tragic. Goudy left behind a 4 month old daughter and a devoted boyfriend who is now a single parent, as well as many other family members who are in mourning. 18 year old Curtis Eskildsen is the father of the 4 month old and Goudy’s boyfriend, and he was also in the vehicle when the accident occurred. The couple was traveling south on 37 St. S.W. With Goudy driving when they came to a stop at the crossover for Highway 22X. Curtis was in the passenger seat, and Goudy pulled out into the path of an oncoming Dodge Ram traveling west. The teenage mom died at the crash site.

Rachel Goudy was a teenage mom who loved her family and who was devoted to her boyfriend and daughter. Eskildsen said “(She was) the most amazing mother you could even possibly find on the earth.” The fatal crash has devastated those who knew and loved Rachelle Goudy, but her memory will live on. Curtis does not even remember the accident, saying “I don’t really know what happened … all I remember is leaving my house and waking up in the hospital.” The 18 year old father suffered a concussion in the accident and has no memory of the events leading up to the fatal crash, which may be a blessing since the teen dad is already distraught over losing his girlfriend and the mother of his infant daughter.
