Parsons Portable Toilet Victim of Explosive Device
A portable toilet at Parsons has been the victim of an explosive device, and police are looking for those responsible for this act of vandalism and wanton destruction of property. So far police have not disclosed how many people they believe were involved, but what is known is that an actual bomb was dropped into the portable toilet and the toilet was destroyed as a result. Wood Buffalo RCMP reported that they received a call at around 8:30am on Sunday morning, when workers at a construction site close to Parsons Creek called to report that the portable toilet had been destroyed. Cpl. Sharon Franks stated “The workers went home the night before and when they showed up the next morning, they noticed the toilet had been completely demolished.” Parsons Creek is located north of Fort MacMurray.
The explosive device used to destroy a portable toilet last week was a low grade device which was powerful enough to completely demolish the portable toilet, but it has not been identified and police are still determining exactly what the explosive device was. There were not any injuries reported, and no damage to the surrounding areas. Police are asking the public to help them solve this crime. The individuals responsible may continue with their activities unless they are stopped, and the next time the outcome may not be as positive because someone could be injured or worse.
