The 38-year-old Scandal star stuns on the cover of Ebony magazine’s latest issue, looking absolutely gorgeous while rocking a trendy bob hairstyle, fierce fringe (it’s unclear whether the look is a wig for the cover) and even bright blue eyeliner.

Sporting a fitted, geometric print dress that perfectly hugs her curves, the mother of one flaunts her flawless skin, full lips and long lashes while proving she’s a fashion chameleon who can rock any tress transformation!

In the mag’s accompanying article, Washington opens up about her first time meeting Scandal creator Shonda Rimes and reveals why it was a scary feet to step into Pope’s political shoes.
“I remember the first time I met Shonda Rhimes. She told me that a show like Scandal could end up being an eight-year relationship,” Washington says. “I’d never done television, so just the thought of that was terrifying to me. But whether it’s doing TV or playing a character such as Broomhilda in Django Unchained, I definitely like to do things that shake me up.”

“Absolutely not,” she admits. “I wouldn’t be able to handle what it takes to get approval in politics. I have a hard enough time seeking approval in Hollywood.”
