Talk about red-hot (and lob-short).
Vanessa Hudgens has taken her hair a few inches shorter—again!—debuting a long ombré bob while out and about last week in Paris. The look is not too short to be versatile, however. Vanessa showcased a sleek neck-grazing bun at the Paris premiere of her new film Gimme Shelter.
The star went red earlier this month and, we have to say, Hudgens can really rock crimson. Colorist Nikki Lee first posted the fiery look on Instagram on Oct. 2, with the simple caption: “This Happened!”
Vanessa has been color-hopping all summer: In July, she sported a similar ‘do—but rocked a blond-brunette ombré look instead of fiery red. The actress also briefly went turquoise blue. (Who says Coachella hair can’t happen year-round?)

And Hudgens isn’t afraid to pick up scissors and get to choppin’—in both 2011 and 2012, she fashioned her own pixie cut and chin-length bob, respectively.
The star’s hair change is the latest in a line of celebs who are jumping on the long bob (or, er, “lob”) trend. Lauren Conrad has been playing with length this month, so far taking her beachy blond locks to just above her shoulders. The style maven has documented the hair transition on social media, with telling haircut-in-progress shots along the way.
