The town of Westlock is dealing with flooding due to heavy rain in the area.
In message issued at 7:09 p.m. Monday, Alberta Emergency Alert advised people to avoid flooded areas and not to drive past barricades.
Pictures posted on social media show parking lots filled with water.
Westlock County was under a heavy rain warning Monday. Environment Canada said the area could see total rainfall ranging from 50 to 75 millimetres by Tuesday morning.
