Josh Duhamel got more than he bargained for while filming Spaceman. The actor opened up to E! News at the premiere of his new movie and opened up about his accidental encounter on the first day of production. “The truth is the first day, the first shot of the movie, I was rolling a joint. Normally they make fake weed, but nobody told me it was real weed,” he said, “so I smoked it and for the next several hours I was high and wasn’t supposed to be.”

The Safe Haven star eventually recovered and continued his filming, but couldn’t help but laugh at recalling the accidental incident. Since then, he has been busy promoting his new project, as well as supporting wife Fergie‘s music career.

“I’m incredibly proud of her,” he gushed. “She’s got some amazing stuff coming out in the next couple of months that I’m excited for people to hear. It’s the best stuff she’s ever done.”

Even though Fergie is back in the studio focusing on her new music and Duhamel is busy filming, both stars make their adorable son, Axl Jack Duhamel, their main priority. Axl Jack turns three at the end of the month, so they’ll be celebrating his birthday then. But in the meantime, these two parents are watching their son slowly but surely becoming interested in sports.

“I’m not going to push him into anything so we’ll see. If he wants to play, he’ll play something,” Duhamel said. “I think it’s good for him to play something. What he plays I don’t know. Right now he just likes to chase bad guys.”

The Life as We Know It actor did share that his son has been leaning toward soccer and tee ball, so we’ll just have to keep our eyes out for him on the baseball diamond or soccer field!
