Edmonton Police say alcohol was a factor in a fatal hit and run in southeast Edmonton Monday afternoon.
A pedestrian was crossing in a crosswalk at about 4:30 p.m. near Mill Woods Road and 48th Street, said Sgt. Robert. Davis.
One person is under arrest.
It was the second fatal collision this year at the same intersection.
A 69-year-old man was walking across the intersection on April 16 when he was struck by a van making a left turn.
The 60-year-old driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and failing to obey a stop sign.
