Man found bleeding on inner city street Edmonton's 21st homicide


Edmonton Police Services have confirmed that a man found bleeding and in “physical distress” on Thursday died of blunt force trauma.

The homicide is Edmonton’s 21st of the year. 

Police were called to 106th Avenue and 96th Street just before 1 a.m. 

When they arrived, they found Robert Paul Loyer, 46, bleeding on the ground with “obvious signs of trauma.” 

Police attempted CPR, but he died at the scene. 

EPS is looking to identify six or seven people reportedly seen fleeing from the scene.
