Edmonton police have identified a man found dead in an Alberta Avenue alley last weekend, and confirmed he is the city’s 14th homicide victim this year.
An autopsy completed Tuesday showed Adrian Stanley Redcrow, 42, died of stab wounds.
Redcrow’s body was found by a passerby on Friday, April 8, at around 11:30 p.m., in an alley near 116th Avenue and 97th Street. Police said he was found with “obvious signs of trauma.”
Police have no suspects in custody, but investigators want to speak with anyone who may have been in that area around 11 p.m. last Friday.
“Someone out there has information regarding what took place on Friday night, which resulted in a loss of life,” Det. Dave Monson said in a media release.
“We encourage anyone with information to contact police.”
