The Fort McMurray Landmark Cinemas is Showing the Goosebumps Movie

Goosebumps movie, Fort McMurray Landmark Cinemas

Fort McMurray Landmark Cinemas is now showing the Goosebumps movie, giving kids who are old enough a good scare and a great time. The movie is based on the scary novels by R.L. Stine that were designed for middle and high school aged kids. In the movie parents can expect to see some monsters, and there is plenty of action and chaos to keep older kids engaged and intrigued. If you have young children then the Goosebumps movie may not be the right choice though. While the movie is rated PG and the worst language used in it is the word butt there are some scenes and monsters which could frighten younger children. There are some scenes wit kissing, and some references to things like twerking and drugs that younger kids might not understand fully.

The Goosebumps movie will appeal to the same ages that the horror stories by R. L. Stine did, and adolescents have given the movie rave reviews so far. Adult horror fans will find this offering quite low key and less than truly frightening but it is a movie intended for tweens and adolescents so it hits the mark in spite of being less than horrifying. There is no gore or extreme violence, and the topics are teen friendly. The Fort McMurray Landmark Cinemas will be showing the film this week, with various viewing times. Anyone interested in seeing the Goosebumps movie can call the cinema theater office at 780-791-5949 or get showing information at 780-791-6610.
