Minister Olszewski launched the 2026-2027 call for proposals for the Search and Rescue New Initiatives Fund (SAR NIF). The deadline to apply for 2026-2027 is May 15, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon) Pacific time. We are also providing $2.86M in funding for seven SAR NIF projects to further support Canada’s search and rescue capacity.
