Macdonald-Cartier Bridge rehabilitation project – lane modifications during construction work

For immediate release

GATINEAU, Quebec, May 20, 2016 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists that, as of May 23, 2016, the configuration of traffic lanes will be modified due to construction work on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge.

Until June 10, 2016, the following lane configurations will take place:

  • From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., a minimum of one lane will be open in each direction.
  • Outside morning and afternoon peak hours, some short-term lane closures will be required.

In addition to these lane configurations, some short-term closures of the Fournier and Maisonneuve ramps will be required during this construction work. These closures will take place periodically during nightly lane modifications. A detour will be specified for users.

The schedule may change due to weather conditions.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
