A recent shooting at the Boomtown Casino is under investigation by the Wood Buffalo RCMP, and police are hoping that the public can help them solve this crime and bring those responsible to justice. A man was found with gunshot injuries outside of the casino when police responded to a report of gunshots in the area. The 24 year old male victim was treated by officers on the scene until paramedics arrived, and then the victim was transported to Northern Lights Regional Health Centre for further emergency medical treatment. Witnesses who were in the area reported seeing a suspect fleeing the area headed down Hardin Street in the direction of Franklin Avenue.
