A man has been arrested in Edmonton on a warrant from the Wood Buffalo RCMP in connection with two of the Fort McMurray shootings that have occurred this year in the downtown area. 24 year old Saaid Mohiadin was placed under arrest on September 17 of this year, and the arrest was carried out by Edmonton police and backed by a warrant that was issued by the Wood Buffalo RCMP. The other Fort McMurray shooting that the police allege Mohiadin committed occurred on July 10, 2015, and this incident was also in the downtown area of Fort McMurray. The warrant from the Wood Buffalo RCMP allowed Edmonton police to arrest the 24 year old who is now facing a long list of charges. The charges against Mohiadin include two counts of discharging a firearm with intent, one count of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, careless use of a firearm, possession contrary to a court order, possessing a restricted firearm with ammunition, and 3 counts of failure to comply with conditions of a recognizance.
