Blue Vehicle Sought by Police in Connection with Conklin Homicide

Conklin homicide, blue vehicle

Police are trying to locate a blue vehicle that they believe is connected with a recent Conklin homicide, and they are asking the public to come forward with an information which could be helpful in identifying the person responsible. On August 11, 2015, 21 year old Tyler David McDermid was killed in the early morning hours, and the shooting took place in a residential neighborhood. Video cameras captured the blue vehicle on surveillance footage close to Highway 881 and police have released the images of the vehicle. Sgt. Jose Valiquette, the RCMP spokesperson, told the media “We believe that information about this vehicle, or its occupants, could further advance this investigation.” Police released 4 photographs that police believe is the same vehicle, and the pictures of the vehicle were taken at approximately 12:40 am, close to an hour and a half before police arrived at the Conklin residence and found the deceased victim.

According to the RCMP the Conklin homicide is not believed to be a random act of violence, and the police believe that the occupants of the blue vehicle either know something or are connected to the crime in some way. Police have not disclosed where the photos were taken or what locations the cameras were when the vehicle was captured on film. The pictures seem to be in a parking lot and at a gas station. Police are asking that anyone who recognizes the blue vehicle to contact law enforcement and tell what they know. Crime Stoppers can be contacted anonymously by calling 1-800-222-8477. The public can also call the police directly at 780-788-4040.
