Another Fort MacMurray Shooting Reported by RCMP
There has been another downtown Fort MacMurray shooting according to the Alberta RCMP, and the shooting occurred on Tuesday, June 3, at around 5:30 am. A 32 ear old man reported being shot while he was on Richard Street, and he was taken to the hospital after the incident. The shooting victim received injuries that were not life threatening, and it is reported that he was in stable condition and expected to recover completely from his wounds. The RCMP did not immediately report the name of the shooting victim, but they did inform the public that there was no risk to public safety as far as they were aware. The shooting occurred after the victim got into an altercation with another individual. The RCMP is asking the public for help. Anyone who saw a Sun taxi close to 100 Richard Street between 5:15 am and 5:45 am and who saw the occupants of the taxi are asked to contact the police.
A person of interest description in the recent Fort MacMurray shooting has been released by the RCMP. The person of interest is reported as being a black male who is 5 foot 6 inches tall, and he has black dreadlocks that reach down to his shoulders. The RCMP has not called this individual a suspect, but they do say that he is believed to have information about the downtown Fort MacMurray shooting. The police are not saying whether this shooting is linked to any of the others in recent weeks at Clearwater Crescent.
