Violent Crimes Lead to Inter-Provincial Investigation

An inter-provincial investigation has expanded, with violent crimes and violent criminals across multiple provinces being targeted.. So far the investigation has led to 78 charges against a total of 6 people, and these numbers are expected to rise as the investigation continues. So far two deaths and many violent crime victims have been identified in the criminal charges. The latest charges have hit closer to home, with individuals from Fort MacMurray and Edmonton being identified and arrested. 26 year old Edmonton resident Fabick Gorjok was arrested in February but the arrest was not publicized as police determined whether it was related to the larger inter-provincial investigation. Gorjok was charged with public mischief, breaking and entering, and unlawful confinement.

The inter-provincial investigation into violent crimes including murder is continuing, and more arrests are expected as further details emerge. 37 year old Adrian Barnes was arrested on March 31, 2015 on arrest warrants out of Fort MacMurray, and the defendant is facing charges that include conspiracy to commit a break and enter, aggravated assault, and two counts of extortion as well as additional charges. 26 year old Michael Kogut was arrested in Edmonton on March 31, 2015, and charged with robbery with a firearm, breaking and entering, and unlawful confinement. 28 year old Jonathan Henry was placed under arrest the following day and is charged with 15 offenses which include three weapons-related offences, uttering threats to cause death, three firearms-related offences, robbery, and injuring an animal. 27 year old Sean Jennings was also arrested and charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, and four firearms-related offences. 23 year old David Nguyen has been charged with a total of 20 offenses.
