Wood Buffalo RCMP Searching for Franklin Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart Robbery Suspect
The Wood Buffalo RCMP is searching for a robbery suspect involved in a robbery at the Franklin Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart on Saturday night, and police are asking residents to report any information that they may have about the crime. According to the police report the robbery suspect went into the store at approximately 9:15 pm on Saturday evening, and once inside the man demanded that an employee hand over the cash in the store and brandished a weapon. The male suspect ended up fleeing on foot after he received an undisclosed sum in cash as well as a number of scratch off lottery tickets. There is video surveillance photos of the robbery suspect available online, and someone knows who this individual is and can help police locate him.
Part of the efforts by the Wood Buffalo RCMP to identify the Franklin Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart robbery suspect has included releasing a detailed description of the suspect as well as showing video of him. According to police the robbery suspect is a man who is roughly 30 years old, Caucasian, and who has brown hair. The man is between 5 foot 9 inches and 6 foot tall, he ha a medium build, and he has tattoos on both of his biceps. Additional details that have been released include the fact that the man was wearing a red shirt, and he was seen heading in the direction of Manning Avenue when he fled.
