Fort Chipewyan, Fort MacMurray

As the oldest settled community in Alberta, Canada, Fort Chipewyan can be a great place for a visit whether you are a tourist in the area or you reside close by Fort MacMurray. This settlement goes back for more than two centuries, with a history that is rich and fascinating. Starting in the 18^th century this fort was the place where many headed, and it was a popular destination for trappers, fur traders, and even explorers.
