Coronavirus: All the Artists Offering Free Online Concerts While You're Stuck at Home

After having to cancel a number of tour dates, the folk rock duo announced they will be streaming a free show and Q&A on Facebook. “We will be going live on Facebook this Thursday, March 19th 6:00pm EST, and playing a low key, home grown set of songs and talking to people directly through Q and A. Plan on tuning in with us!,” they wrote in a post.

“I know you are all really freaked out right now,” the band’s lead singer, Ben Gibbard, wrote in a letter to fans. “I am too. And while I’m proud that we’re all doing the necessary things at the moment to help flatten the curve, I know it has left us all incredibly isolated.” To that end, he announced he’ll be playing music live from his home studio every day at 4 PM PT for the next few weeks on YouTube and Facebook. He may even have a few guests stop by “digitally.”

“I’m gonna start covering songs live on insta, kind of like Kelly Clarkson without the tv show or budget. If you ever wanted me to sing your fav song-now’s your chance. Send me some suggestions,” McPhee tweeted on March 16.

She and husband David Foster took to Instagram Live for their first “show” with songs like “Smile”, “I’ll Be Seeing You”, and “Hallelujah”. They plan to perform each evening at 5:30 P.M. PT.
