Both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle love to recycle pieces in their wardrobes. Of course, Middleton has been in the family longer, so she has a much larger royal archive to pick from. It’s frankly one of the most relatable things about the Duchess of Cambridge. (Who among us doesn’t have a favorite dress or pair of boots that we wear constantly?) Of course, most of us aren’t having our photographs blasted out around the world, but still….
Last night the Duchess of Cambridge brought back one of our all-time favorite looks, a striped off-the-shoulder dress from London-based Brazilian designer Barbara Casasola, to attend an event in support of her patronages, Action on Addiction.
“Action on Addiction was one of my very first patronages, and as such, it is very close to my heart,” she said in a speech. “I’m hugely passionate about the support it provides, especially for parents, children, and families who suffer from, or through, addiction. And in some ways, it was the catalyst for my interest in early-childhood development too…. What’s remarkable about Action on Addiction is that it goes beyond helping those who are suffering on the courageous journey into recovery—it also lends direct support to the children and families affected by addiction, for as long as it takes.”
The duchess paired the long-sleeve dress with metallic accessories, including a clutch by Wilbur & Gussie clutch.
