Irina Shayk Wore a $50 Mango Dress With a $2,000 Burberry Jacket

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean, unfortunately, that every day is packed full of sunshine: In some parts of the country (ahem, New York City), it’s been raining buckets for what seems like ages. And while the rainwear-driven outfit fatigue was beginning to get real for a lot of us, model Irina Shayk took to the streets in a rain-ready outfit anchored by one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your closet: a dress-it-up, dress-it-down LBD. Best of all, you don’t have to be making supermodel money to be able to afford it.

Shayk was spotted ready to take on the rain on Thursday while walking around in Brooklyn with her son Lea in a $2,190 Burberry Long Westminster Heritage Trench Coat and $950 beige Chanel Caoutchouc rain boots. She paired the designer pieces with a minimalist black Mango bodycon dress—and it’s marked down from $60 to $50 right now.

This is the kind of LBD that, per Shayk’s example, is basically guaranteed take you places, from work to a date to a night out to the playground. Bare-legged, with tights, plain, or with a jacket, it’s never gonna let you down. It’s precisely the sort of piece you can throw on with chunky white dad sneakers, a pair of summery platform sandals, or a pair of rain boots on any rainy or snowy day of the year (Chanel cred not necessary). Best of all, it’s somehow still in stock.
