Alison Brie and Dave Franco could be getting hitched any day now.

“We keep kinda paring it down—to the point we might elope,” Franco told me at the premiere of his new raunchy comedy Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. “Who knows?”

E! News was the first to report that the two got engaged in August after Franco popped the question with a rose gold and diamond ring designed by Irene Neuwirth.

The two have reportedly been together since January 2012.

“I don’t need a big wedding,” Franco said. “I don’t want a big wedding.”

He said that he and Brie want to keep things “simple.”

Brie told me in January that they were in no rush to wed. “I’m just postponing planning,” she said. “It’s good. It’s easy to not plan.”

She also gushed about Mr. Franco, “He’s a sweetheart—and very handsome.”

In the Neighbors sequel, Franco returns as one of Zac Efron‘s frat brothers. However, it’s a few years after graduation and Franco’s character is now engaged and planning his wedding to…
