Woman's body found in north Edmonton apartment

The death of a 43-year-old woman whose body was found in an apartment in north Edmonton Monday is now being called suspicious by police. 

Officers were called to the building at 114th Avenue and 132nd Street around 10:45 a.m. 

This is the latest in a string of deaths under investigation by Edmonton Police over the past week. 

On Wednesday, the bodies of Irfan Qureshi, 37, and Suzanne Tran, 27, were found in a duplex at 4914 – 213th Street. 

Police were called to a hotel near 34th Street and 118th Avenue around 9 a.m. Saturday where they found the body of a man believed to be in his 30s.

Two more deaths occurred early Easter morning. A man was found in critical condition near the Belvedere LRT station. He died in hospital. 

Two men were shot outside a nightclub at 81st Avenue and 105th Street. One of the men died in hospital. The other man remains in stable condition.
